A practical 1-day workshop for professionals who support children with emotional or behavioural challenges.
Do you work with children who have emotional or behavioural challenges? This workshop offers a hopeful, practical alternative to feeling responsible for “fixing” children or their problems.
Kids’ Skills is a playful, solution-focused method that helps children learn new skills and overcome difficulties with support from parents, carers, friends and other important people in their lives.
Rather than blaming or judging children or their carers, Kids’ Skills reframes problems as signs that point toward skills children can learn. The approach invites children and families to become active partners in finding solutions and celebrating progress.
What you’ll learn
- Core principles of solution-focused work with children and families
- The 15 steps of the Kids’ Skills process, using real-life stories and feedback
- Ways to apply Kids’ Skills in your own work with children and carers
Who this workshop is for
