In recent months we’ve been facilitating reflective practice sessions with the team at My Choice Supports, a WA NDIS service and with Bethany Community Support in Geelong.
The My Choice Supports zoom sessions have assisted workers to better articulate how their values are expressed in action, deconstruct successes and identify ‘working from home wisdoms’. The Bethany project is involving groups of Team Leaders, Managers and Practice Leads meeting regularly over a period of several months to reflect on their practice through the lens of selected key practice principles.
Using a group reflective practice ‘map’ we’ve begun exploring and growing practice wisdoms in relation to topics such as authentic engagement, strengths based practice and seeking feedback. These sessions are designed to strengthen reflective practice across the organisation as participants take the skills and processes back to their teams as well as informing the development of an organisational practice framework in coming months.
